JFC: How did The Skadaddles start?

Skadaddles: I (matt, guitar man) started it with my two brothers who play bass and trumpet. We had Wes on drums and Ray Ray on trumpet also---then over the next few months we addded the other guys, to make a total of nine. We wish we were NSYNC.

JFC: Please describe your style of music (in your own words).

Skadaddles: Music with horns. We're not ska, we're poppy music with an influence of ska and punk and emo and polka from the german sheep herders.

JFC: What other Christian/secular bands influence you?

Skadaddles: Less Than Jake, Jimmy Eat World, Appleseed Cast, MxPx, Captin Geech and the Shrip Shack Shooters, James Brown, NSYNC, Gloria Estephan, Elvis, Luther Vancross, Vanillia Ice, Chocolate Ice, Ice in General, The Dixy Chicks, The Cure

JFC: Please give me your comments/thoughts about your favorite(s) of your song(s):

Skadaddles: I like "inextricable Prolixity Consumated In the Midst Of Relentless Insomnia" (one of our newer songs) because its emo and it's really hard-hitting--also it's totally not ska!!

JFC: What of your songs is your favorite?

Skadaddles: That last song I mentioned or Shadows Dissipate or some song I wrote about MTV.

JFC: What's your fav Bible Verse(s)?

Skadaddles: There's too many to choose from. Proverbs has lots of good ones, good advice on a daily basis.

JFC: What's your favorite movie(s)?

Skadaddles: Me personally, I'd say Romeo and Juilet, The Wedding Singer, and old Jerry Lewis movies---also anything with Claire Danes or Cameron Diaz. (oooh yeah)

JFC: What do think about all of this Y2K stuff?

Skadaddles: SHELBY 2000!!

JFC: Where are you guys from?

Skadaddles: Augusta, Georgia--the armpit of the south!

JFC: What's your favorite Caffinated drink? (LOL)

Skadaddles: Jooky. Coffee, for sure.

Skadaddles: I like Star Wars. Shawn shaves his chest hair and I can't even grow a go-tee. Also our trumpet player would like to tell the world that he is not the guy from Karate Kid or Chachee from Happy Days. We watched MTV's top 25 worst video's today in the recording studio and Don Johnson got the worst video! It was great. I like pizza but our drummer doesn't. Also we wish we were in Delaware.
